About

Milo knows his beloved cat Stella—or at least he thinks he does. When Stella suddenly begins behaving in unfamiliar ways, Milo becomes convinced that the cat in front of him must be an imposter and starts wondering what has happened to the real Stella.

His suspicions lead to a playful and humorous exploration of how well we really know our pets and the people and animals we love. Inspired by a real cat named Stella and an imaginative question from Donna Fredin's son, the story combines warm illustrations, comedy, and an affectionate look at the bond between a child and his pet.

Designed for young picture-book readers, it encourages curiosity and imagination while showing that even those closest to us can sometimes surprise us by trying something new or behaving in unexpected ways.
