Wondering How We Keep Book Prices So Low? 

Most of our books come from publisher overstock and, in some cases, unsold retailer returns. They’re brand new and unread, and along their journey to us, they may receive a remainder mark that means they can be sold at a discounted rate. 

Think of it as the birthmark of a bargain book. And the sign of seriously good savings. 

What Exactly Is the List Price? 

The list price refers to the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP), the price at which the manufacturer or publisher recommends that a retailer sell the product. 

We make every effort to maintain up-to-date publisher list prices. However, despite our best efforts, we cannot guarantee their accuracy, as these prices may change over time without notice. As a result, the price printed on a book may not correspond to the current price set by the publisher, depending on when we received the book. The list price shown is the publisher’s suggested retail price, and actual selling prices may vary by retailer. 

When a publisher does not provide a Canadian list price, we calculate one using the provided US list price and a fixed exchange rate that we review and adjust periodically to reflect currency fluctuations. This calculation is intended to provide a reasonable estimate only and does not constitute a representation of official publisher pricing. 

While we strive for accuracy, we reserve the right to correct errors in pricing or descriptions. Our real-time inventory system may not always keep pace with demand, and in some cases, we may need to cancel or refuse an order based on incorrect information or product availability, even after an order has been accepted. 

Are All Our Books Bargain Books? 

Along with our bargain books, we also offer Hot Off the Press titles that take a different path to our shelves. 

These books come freshly printed from the publisher for that extra polished, remainder mark-free shelf appeal. You’ll still get 50% or more off the list price, with even bigger savings through bundle book deals.
