Philippians: A Blackaby Bible Study Series (Encounters with God)

Encounters with God: Philippians centers around a church that was dear to Paul's heart and a message that is filled with immense joy. Paul sought to encourage the Philippian believers by sharing the great work that God was doing in his life. We learn that joy and contentment should not be based on circumstances, but rather on our relationship with Christ. Paul's message also highlights the importance of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. Each study session offers insights and discussion starters on overcoming temptation, experiencing a blessed life, learning to pray, living in love, maturing spiritually, preparing for the kingdom of heaven, and sharing the good news of redemption. In each lesson on Philippians, the Blackabys include: Bible Focus; Application for Today; Supplementary Scriptures to Consider; Introspection and Implications; Communicating the Good News; Small Group Leader Notes.
