About

Museum Mix-Up by Dorothy H. Price follows seven-year-old Jalen Corey Pierce, known as J.C., during an exciting class field trip to the Famous Black Americans Museum. J.C. is especially happy because his father has volunteered to accompany the class as a chaperone.

While exploring the crowded museum, J.C.'s group accidentally becomes separated from their teacher and classmates. Rather than panicking, J.C. remembers the museum map their teacher showed them and uses it to help reunite everyone. His quick thinking turns a confusing situation into an opportunity to demonstrate responsibility, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

Featuring illustrations by Shiane Salabie, this accessible early chapter book combines a relatable school adventure with a setting that introduces young readers to African American history and cultural heritage.
