New hearing aids. A talking bird. A mystery that only an extraordinary team of detectives can solve!
Callie isn't thrilled about getting her first hearing aids, especially when she has to wear them to school. But everything changes when she discovers that her new devices, which she calls the Slugs, give her an incredible ability: she can understand Bo, a mischievous mynah bird!
Suddenly, Callie has an unexpected partner with a bird's-eye view of the world. Together with her best friend Grace, she forms SPUD—the Super Perceptive Undercover Detectives—and sets out to catch a mysterious thief causing trouble around town.
With high-speed chases, clever detective work, an extremely hungry bird and plenty of hilarious surprises, the friends must put their unique talents to the test.
Written by Karen Owen and illustrated by Louise Forshaw, Major and Mynah is a funny, fast-paced mystery celebrating friendship, confidence, disability representation and the extraordinary abilities that make everyone unique.
