About

Told in vivid graphic novel form by a groundbreaking Eisner-nominated comics creator, the long-overdue biography of the legend who co-created Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and many more superhero favorites.

Creating and co-creating some of the most enduring superheroes and supervillains of all time--including Captain America, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, Black Panther, Thor, and the New Gods--would be enough to ensure legendary comic book master Jack Kirby a place in the upper echelons of comic book history. But Jack Kirby's life contained more than pencil lines, bombastic character designs, and one-of-a-kind story ideas.

This first-ever graphic novel-style biography of the King of Comics recounts Jack Kirby's life from the mean streets of Depression-era New York to the bloody European battlefront of World War II and into the Marvel Bullpen, where Kirby and Stan Lee's creative partnership produced some of the most memorable and influential comic book tales ever seen. Whether fighting for his life against the Nazis just like his star-spangled Captain America or fighting for his rights to the immense body of work he produced, Jack Kirby lived a life as extraordinary as any of his characters.
