About

A TRAGIC ACCIDENT . . .

When the scream echoed through the quiet Salt Lake City night, people were quick to call the police. What they found was a hysterical and grief-stricken David Mead, tearing apart the man-made fishpond where he had just found his wife, Pamela, floating dead in the water. With evidence pointing to a tragic accident, and David the model of a bereaved widower, the case was ready to be closed.

OR A TWISTED CRIME?

But state prosecutor Howard Lemcke wasn't so sure. Along with detective Jill Candland, Lemcke began to look into the life of David Mead, suspecting that beneath the facade lay a cold, calculating opportunist and philanderer who saw a way out of an unhappy marriage and financial ruin—a way that ended in his wife's death. Here, written by Howard Lemcke, is a true story of lies, decepton, and a remorseless killer who almost escaped justice.
