About

Goofy's nephew Gilbert takes on a challenging art project and discovers that creating something he is proud of requires patience, practice, and determination.

When his efforts do not turn out as expected, Gilbert must learn to overcome frustration and resist the temptation to give up. With the familiar charm of Disney characters, the story introduces young readers to the idea that making mistakes is a natural part of learning and that improvement comes through continued effort. As Gilbert works through his creative challenge, he begins to understand that doing his best matters more than achieving perfection. Colorful illustrations by Jerrod Maruyama bring the experience to life while making the message accessible to young children.

Part of the Disney Growing Up Stories series, this encouraging picture book highlights persistence, resilience, and the importance of maintaining a positive attitude when facing difficulties.
