About

Alain Badiou's "Ethics" shows how the prevailing ethical principles of the modern liberal democracy serve ultimately to reinforce the status quo because they can provide no effective understanding of evil. Taking on the doctrine of universal human rights, Badiou dispenses of the "ethical delirium" that confuses "politics with the hypocrisy of a mindless catechism" and ultimately replaces it with an "ethic of truths."
