Creative Wallpaper

An eye-catching showcase of the most beautiful, contemporary wallpaper design, this guide presents 40 projects and 200 color photographs. On display is a wonderful variety of patterns, from modern geometrics and stripes to feminine florals, light reflective metallics, and designs that imitate hard surfaces and natural fibers. The dozens of clever ideas include applying paper in vertical strips or in a patchwork pattern, or papering just half a wall. Even the most intimidated will find the instructions easy enough to follow. For something different, use paper other than conventional manufactured wallpaper, from worn old maps and sheet music to shimmering joss paper and metal foil squares. Try borders, decoupaged images, or papering a ceiling for an attention-grabbing decorative statement. And remember: wallpaper isn't just for walls, so use it to adorn the back of a china cabinet or turn ordinary tin cans and storage boxes into elegant containers.
