A Beautiful Defeat

New York Times bestselling author Kevin Malarkey teaches readers that the surprising key to unlocking their potential and experiencing the sense of peace and purpose they crave is nothing less than total surrender to God.

There is a gnawing inside all of us that tells us we can be better. If we could just get a break or be more organized or work a little harder, we could break free from the struggles we face and become the persons we know we were intended to be.

But what is the message of the cross?

It isn't God saying, "I died for your sins and now I'll work as a consultant in your life to help you achieve the life you're determined to have." Jesus died as a model for us to die and give our lives to God and to others - the total surrender to God that is truly a beautiful defeat!

We cannot always determine the circumstances in our lives, but perspective and peace in the midst of the stormy chaos of life are always available to the person who wins the battle to live a surrendered life. It is possible to have a life filled with meaning and live a rich existence basking in the pleasure and approval of God.

A Beautiful Defeat contains the promise of a pathway to wholeness, fulfillment, and peace with God.
