Designed especially for beginning puzzlers, Happy Animals introduces young children to puzzle play through eight simple two-piece puzzles featuring bright and cheerful animal illustrations by Lindsay Dale-Scott.
Children can match the pieces to create familiar animals including lions, zebras, elephants, and more, making the activity an approachable way to practice identifying animals while having fun. The simple two-piece format helps young children develop shape recognition, colour matching, fine motor skills, visual recognition, and hand-eye coordination as they learn how corresponding pieces fit together.
Each completed puzzle averages approximately 4 × 6 inches, giving little hands generously sized pieces that are easier to handle than traditional jigsaw pieces. The set also provides a colourful, screen-free activity that encourages concentration, problem-solving, and independent play. The puzzles are produced using greyboard containing 90% recycled material and are printed with nontoxic, soy-based inks.
