War Paint

War Paint is the story of a young man's brief but violent exposure to war. Bill Goshen dropped out of college to enlist in the Army during the height of the Vietnam war. Unable to qualify for Special Forces due to an injury incurred during Airborne training, Goshen did the next best thing -- he volunteered for the Division's long range patrol elemnt, Company F, 52nd Infantry (LRP).

War Paint is the graphic story of his five and one half months as a member of that elite special operations unit. It concludes witha heartrending mission that leaves four of his teammates dead and two severely wounded. The dramatic story of their fight for survival and subsequent rescue is truly inspirational.
