Olivia, a widow of a murdered carpetbagger, gratefully accepts an invitation from the Hardings of Belle Meade Plantation and dear friends of Olivia's late mother. Expecting to be the Hardings' housekeeper, she is disillusioned after she learns the real reason why her aunt agreed to her coming.
