The strange, dark mirror given to Ella by her stepmother haunts her with the image of a grotesque, oversized monster. Then, cruel taunting by a carload of boys triggers Ella into bulimic episodes that escalate to ever more dangerous extremes. The guy she likes finally notices her, but now Ella is way out of control.
