Flash Points (Kirk McGarvey)

A car bomb explodes just as retired CIA assassin Kirk McGarvey is leaving his vehicle. He barely escapes with his life, and it turns out he's not the only target. His attackers are after the president of the United States, who has just won a heated, heavily contested presidential election - and whose enemies are determined to push out of office.

In an effort to destroy the president, their contractor sets up three terrorist assaults in the United States, as well as other attacks around the globe. These strikes are at flash points so critical they could incite an all-out nuclear war.

But they made a mistake in going after the CIA's number-one assassin.
