Nora and Patch were ready to put the past behind them after they defeated the Black Hand. But in the Black Hand's absence, Nora has unwittingly become the head of the Nephilim and must lead them to destroy the fallen angels - and the only person she has ever loved.

Patch attempts to find out everything he can as Nora struggles to convince the Nephilim tat their fight with the fallen angels is a mistake. But soon she finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated, and even Patch may not be able to help her find her way back.
