Monday Mourning

Tempe, forensic anthropologist for both North Carolina and Quebec, has come to Montreal during the cold, bleak days of December to testify as an expert at a murder trial. She should be going over her notes, but instead she's fighting off rats and freezing in the basement of a pizza parlor where she recovers three skeletons from shallow graves. Homicide detective Luc Claudel thinks the bones are ancient, but Tempe is unconvinced. The more Tempe learns, the more she realizes that the situation echoes a horrible crime from the past.
