Flashcards Of My Life

Emily is pretty sure her life couldn't b any more complicated. Her different friends get along like tuna fish salad with ice cream; her mom keeps baking desserts with nuts (a tedious diet strategy); her best friend, Sandra, is worryingly secretive; and she's stranded on Crush Island without a lifeboat. When Emily receives an unexpected birthday gift - a pack of note cards labeled "Flashcards of My Life" - she uses it for journal writing inspiration to try to untangle her increasingly knotted life. With lots of imagination, a good dose of humor, a dash of hysteria, and a mounting store of wisdom, Emily finds that she might be able to brave growing up after all.
