About

Count along with the Old Lady in a hilarious, number-munching adventure that's full of surprises!

The beloved Old Lady is back, and this time she's swallowing numbers! In There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed the 123s, bestselling author Lucille Colandro and illustrator Jared Lee bring their signature humour and playful illustrations to an entertaining introduction to counting.

From zero all the way to twenty, the Old Lady gobbles up numbers in her usual outrageous fashion. But when an unexpected hiccup sends them flying, young readers are invited to help put everything back in numerical order!

Featuring catchy rhymes, colourful illustrations, and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, this delightful picture book transforms early math practice into an exciting read-aloud experience. Perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners, it encourages number recognition, counting skills, and sequencing while making learning feel like an adventure.

"Colandro’s series returns with another rhyming toe-tapper... Sure to elicit countless grins." - Kirkus Reviews
