About

Though it met with scathing reviews when it first appeared in the third century BC, The Voyage of the Argo is now considered a crucial piece of classical literature, and indeed the only complete account of Jason`s voyage to capture the Golden Fleece. Mimicking the style of his poetic predecessor, Homer, Apollonius of Rhodes creates here a daring, epic poem filled with romance, humor and high adventure. This Penguin Classics edition deserves a spot in your home library.
