About

Butterflies, flies, dragonflies – flying insects are part of our daily lives, to the point that we only pay attention to them when they bother us.

This book reveals them to us in a new light: through ultra-high-speed photography, the fleeting nature of their flight is finally revealed. Readers discover that the smallest patch of greenery hides a world of tiny creatures for whom gravity, time, and the laws of physics do not have the same effects as on us, and that the most common insect is a marvel of engineering.

The technique and equipment developed by the author over the years have allowed him to create these images, achieving an unprecedented level of detail and precision in this field. However, the aesthetic aspect is not sacrificed: the insects appear in their environment, backgrounds are carefully chosen, and the work on lighting gives the images a great softness.
