On the night the Witch dies, nobody really notices the boy hiding in the shadows of the castle.

Ten years later, in the land of Oz, the young man Liir is discovered bruised, comatose and left for dead. At the Cloister of Saint Glinda, he is tended to by a silent novice called Candle who wills him back to life with her musical gifts.

What dark force left Liir in this condition? Could he be the son of the Wicked Witch of the West? He has her broom and her cape - but what of Elphaba's powers?

And now that Oz is under new and dangerous management, can Liir keep his head down long enough to grow up?

Fall under the WICKED spell this year . . .
