Lion Is A Lion

A bold and humorous picture book celebrating identity, confidence and self-belief.

Lion is a lion. That is a simple fact, and Lion knows it to be true. But when the other animals begin to question him and suggest he might be something else, doubt slowly creeps in.

As the voices around him grow louder, Lion starts to wonder whether he should change to fit in, or stay true to who he really is. The story follows his growing confusion as outside opinions begin to overshadow his own certainty.

Clear, funny and empowering, Lion Is a Lion delivers a reassuring message about trusting yourself and standing firm in your identity. With bold illustrations and a playful tone, it encourages young readers to believe in who they are, no matter what others say.

“A wonderfully bold picture book with a powerful message about self-acceptance.” — The Guardian
