Joan of Arc (They Made History)

One of the most fascinating figures of the Middle Ages

Rouen, November 1449. Charles VII makes a triumphant entry into the city, taken from the English. In the Place du Vieux Marché, the king thinks of Joan of Arc, who was burned here 18 years earlier. He thinks of the woman who initiated the reconquest, who managed to turn the tide of the Hundred Years' War by liberating Orléans, who led him to Reims to be crowned king, and whom he abandoned to the English without doing anything to free her... Now, for the king, it is time to honor her memory. 18 years after Joan's death, a new trial begins.

Blending myths and historical feats of arms, Joan of Arc is one of the most fascinating figures of the Middle Ages. Jérôme Le Gris, Murielle Gaude-Ferragu and Ignacio Noé choose to tell her story through her belated rehabilitation by Charles VII.
