L'Infini dans un roseau, d'Irene Vallejo, est un extraordinaire chant d'amour pour les livres qui a séduit des millions de personnes dans le monde entier. Ce livre sur les livres prend un nouvel envol sous la forme d'une adaptation graphique réalisée par le dessinateur Tyto Alba, dont les illustrations exceptionnelles nous transportent sur les champs de bataille d'Alexandre le Grand, dans les palais de Cléopâtre, les premières librairies et les ateliers de copie manuscrite, mais aussi vers les bûchers où ont brûlé des codex interdits, la bibliothèque bombardée de Sarajevo et le labyrinthe souterrain d'Oxford en l'an 2000. Ces dessins et aquarelles, qui racontent l'histoire d'un artefact incomparable né il y a cinq millénaires, lorsque les Égyptiens ont découvert le potentiel d'un roseau qu'ils ont appelé papyrus, nous font participer à l'aventure collective de ceux qui ont sauvegardé les livres depuis lors.
