Growing up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the 1980s, Jerry McGill's life was good: he was excelling as an athlete and as a dancer and he was popular at school. But walking home from a party was he was 13, Jerry was shot in the back, paralyzed from the waist down. The police never caught the shooter.
