About

Gottfried Von Strassburg reworks the legendary romance of Tristan and Isolde in this stylish tale. Using the surviving fragments of the medieval work by Thomas as his source, Von Strassburg sticks closely to the story's original chronology, but veers off when it comes to the idea of love - letting his own impressions shine through. A fresh take on an old story, Tristan is sharp and imaginative and will delight readers.
