The Hunters (Tales of the Plains, Bk. 1)

This is the first book in the new fantasy series Tales of the Plains — from the author of The Black Hawks.

It blends elements of western-style frontier adventure with dark fantasy and high-stakes pursuit, featuring a female protagonist on the run whose past catches up with her.

In The Hunters, Ree — a woman with a violent past she believed she left behind — and her niece Javani have built a quiet life on the outskirts of civilization.

But when hired killers arrive seeking whoever holds a dangerous secret, their peace shatters.

What follows is a desperate, blood-soaked chase across deserts, mountains, and mines — forcing Ree to confront her former self if she hopes to protect her niece and survive.

The novel promises intense action, gritty stakes, and a heroine determined to fight against overwhelming odds in a harsh, unforgiving world.
