About

The great novel of Hollywood dreams turning sour, The Day of the Locust reveals the terrifying emptiness at the heart of the movie world.

Tod Hackett, a brilliant young artist, is brought to Los Angeles as a set designer. There he discovers not glamour and stars, however, but a dark, sordid, surreal place of grotesque and outcasts, teetering on the edge of chaos.
