The Cliffs

A Reese’s Book Club July Pick, praised as a deeply satisfying and compelling narrative about family, secrets, and homecoming.

Archivist Jane Flanagan returns to her coastal Maine hometown after a devastating mistake derails both her career and marriage.

She is drawn back to the dilapidated Victorian house on the cliffs where she spent formative years—a place filled with lingering secrets and echoes of the past.

As Jane begins researching the lives of the women who once lived in the house, she uncovers stories of love and loss, romantic longing and artistic awakenings, and a long shadow of history that reaches far beyond her personal journey.
