About

In Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, Vol. 2, the story picks up in the augmented reality (AR) game Ordinal Scale, where monsters from the original Sword Art Online (SAO) keep appearing—despite SAO being over. As more players flock to Ordinal Scale to battle these bosses, Asuna, Kirito, and their friends grow increasingly concerned: something is off.

As the group enters more mysterious boss battles, they begin to uncover a conspiracy lurking behind the scenes—one that ties these dangerous AR events back to the SAO incident. Asuna eventually realizes she has lost memories of SAO. Kirito intensifies his efforts to understand the source of the threat, protect his friends, and restore what’s been lost.
