Reading Rescue 1-2-3

More and more kids today can't read or are reading way below their grade level. According to the U.S. Department of Education, 38 percent of fourth graders in the United States are unable to read at a first-grade level! Reading Rescue 1-2-3 offers a solution. This hands-on manual goes beyond phonics and whole-language training to assist parents and teachers in helping children who are nonreaders turn into reading stars -- within a semester. This easy-to-follow, step-by-step guide for parents and teachers paves the way for children to develop better fluency, language skills, and comprehension. It includes:
-- Phonics worksheets and games
-- Stories that make reading interesting and fun
-- Instructions for the easy "to-with-by" reading method

Research shows that 95 percent of even the poorest readers can improve their reading skills with effective training in sound discrimination. With this method, students can jump an average of two reading levels in one year.
