About

Dr. Cherijo Torin has lost her memory and no longer feels like the person she once was. Unable to remember her past—or even the man she loved—she sees herself as someone entirely different and has little desire to recover the life she has forgotten.

Her personal struggle becomes a matter of life and death when the Hsktskt face a devastating plague that threatens their entire race with extinction. Cherijo possesses the medical knowledge and experience needed to develop a cure, but recovering that knowledge may require her to confront the memories she has been avoiding. As she searches for a way to stop the epidemic, she must wrestle with questions about identity, relationships, responsibility, and whether remembering her former life will restore or destroy the person she has become.

The seventh StarDoc novel blends space opera, medical science fiction, alien cultures, disease, memory loss, identity, and interstellar adventure.
