New Expressions in Origami Art: Masterworks From 25 Leading Paper Artists

Winner of the 2017 Florence Temko Innovation Award.

This art book showcases the work of 25 contemporary master folders — artists pushing the boundaries of origami in terms of style, scale, materials, subject, and scope. The book illustrates how origami has evolved beyond simple paper cranes: folding techniques like wet folding, curved creasing, tessellating, and even using alternative materials allow a single sheet of paper to become intricate sculptural forms. Through stunning photography and insightful essays, the book argues that origami is now a global art movement rather than just a craft — making it a compelling showcase for artists and art lovers alike.
