About

When Benedick overhears the news that his fiercest critic, Beatrice, devotedly loves him, he can't believe his ears. Nor can Beatrice, when she hears her friends say that Benedick is pining for her. Nor can Claudio, when he overhears his fiancée, Hero, in another man's bedroom. This manga re-creation of Shakespeare's beloved comedy plays out its deceptions against the operatic backdrop of a historical Italian landscape.
