About
A rhyming picture book for children — combines charming storytelling with nature-facts and environmental awareness, and is positioned as both entertainment and education.
This gentle, rhyming story chronicles the life of a little otter named Oliver, who is content living along the riverbank on his own — swimming and exploring the twisty-rooted waterways. One day, among the green rushes, he meets an otter named Ottilie, and everything changes: friendship transforms his world. The narrative is enriched with beautiful illustrations by Nicola O'Byrne and interwoven with nature-facts; the book ends with guidance for young readers on how to spot and care for otters and their habitats.
“An otterly beautiful new rhyming picture book which celebrates otters… whilst highlighting the environmental challenges that these endearing creatures face … this glorious book acts as both entertainment and education.” — Lancashire Post
“An adorable tale with an urgent message.” — The Times
