Blue Light

In Blue Light, first published in 2024 by Black Classic Press, a mysterious beam of blue light descends from space onto Northern California in 1965. This extraterrestrial beam possesses strange powers — those it touches may die, go mad, or gain extraordinary abilities, representing a radical transformation of human potential.

Those who survive and are transformed by the light become known as “Blues,” people whose minds and bodies are altered beyond normal limits. As society reacts with fear and prejudice, the Blues are ostracized and forced into hiding.

Soon, a malevolent entity emerges — the “Gray Man,” formerly Horace LaFontaine — revived at the moment of death by the same light, and bent on destroying all Blues. The novel builds towards a climactic conflict where the Blues must choose whether to fight for survival and purpose or fade into obscurity.
