In this masterpiece of scientific insight, Freud illuminates the lives of three men: the "Rat Man" - a military officer to whom rats symbolize money, sexual organs, disease, and, in fact, himself; the "Wolf Man" - a wealthy young Russian who suffers from an incapacitating wolf phobia; and a German judge, Doctor Schreber, who believes that he is the wife of God. Freud portrays these unhappy men in engrossing detail, but perhaps his greatest achievement comes in making them human beings deserving sympathy, rather than merely bizarre personalities.
NOTE: This title is a Bargain book. Bargain books are excess inventory or store returns from publishers that are discreetly marked with a small dot or line on the edge of the pages and, while most are in great condition, some books may exhibit minor cosmetic wear and tear. They may also have a price sticker on it from the original store it was returned from. In rare cases the actual cover of the book might not match the one in the display picture.
