Scientific Challenges to Evolutionary Theory: How These Challenges Affect Religion
Scientific Challenges to Evolutionary Theory: How These Challenges Affect Religion addresses all aspects of the giant battle between two major belief systems…those that believe in a ‘naturalistic worldview’ and evolution, and those that believe in a miracle-performing God and the Creation of all things. On a trip to Mount St. Helens, some look at the catastrophic eruption of May 18, 1981 as a significant corroboration of the Creation event. Others, deniers of the possibilities of miracles, hold to the view that God’s creation cannot be taken seriously by the scientific community. At the Mount St. Helens book store, I asked about books for sale that gave a Christian view of the catastrophic eruption. The reply was, “I’m sorry, sir, but we only carry books by scientists.”It was time for the author, Jay Schabacker, to do a little scientific sleuthing. Join Jay Schabacker as you learn of the hundreds, even thousands, of Ph.D. scientists who repudiate the theory of evolution, but hold rather to the truth of the theory of Creation. Significant general information, likely new to most readers gives corroborative evidence from many sources.

The Lame Take the Prey / For King and Country is a voice of reconciliation and hope - a welcome relief to a torn nation under God. Though a direct contradiction to circumstance, it's a timeless principle of Scripture - that in brokenness there's strength. From this framework comes God's view on "greatness" - that it's not just assumed as a birthright, or belongs only to the ages, but finds a home in us, as God calls us to be a cut above the rest. Brokenness attracts the mercies of God who raises up broken people to do big things and to become benefactors of blessings others only dream about. You can't dream big enough for God!For the Kingdom of God and the healing of our great nation, God has a plan for each life yielded to Him. When it looks too late for what you planned, it's not too late for what God has planned. You see the pieces. God sees the picture. You endure the preparation. God encounters you with His purpose. Like a "fast ball in," when the call of God comes over the plate, you'll know it in your spirit. And what's waited for tomorrow, you'll do today."You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the land." - Christopher ColumbusThere will never be a perfect moment to do a great thing!

The Challenges of Caregiving: Seeing, Serving, Solving
Man’s perception, and how to accept aging, has not changed dramatically since the beginning of time or over the last 220 years as man’s life expectancy has increased. Man is not a stagnant being, and as Bathauer notes, “Psychologist tell us that all of life is made up of continuous changes from childhood all the way to old age.” The last twenty years of life, the stage we call old age, brings about almost as many changes as the first twenty years. Changes in the latter part of life are usually more than all the changes during the first twenty years of life because they carry the threat of loss, disability or other degenerative conditions.Christian counselors are trained in the spiritual and general mental health aspects of aging. Caregivers and family members usually receive their training on the job as a caregiver. As the graying of America continues at an accelerated rate, the Christian counselor, pastor, and caregiver are going to need the tools and resources to counsel and assist in this area. Aging will be an area, which expands into additional areas that will affect everyone in some manner. The Christian counselor, pastor, and caregiver can benefit both professionally and personally by having an understanding of what caregiving is and is not. Also having the knowledge of where to retrieve usable and beneficial information is a blessing to all. It helps to reassure that all involved during this very stressful time period and when major decisions might need to be made to know that there is applicable information at hand. By having this knowledge, it will allow the counselor and caregiver to truly get a better understanding of the aging person. He is now able to help in a spiritual, mental and physical dimension. Again, it is not expected that the counselor, pastor, and caregiver will become a specialist in aging or a gerontologist. The expectation is that the reader will find helpful information as a caregiver and counselor.

Perfection: The Abandoned Key
Kuehn, Richard P.
Are you equipped to reach perfection? God has called his people to a powerful way of living. We are meant to be fully alive in the authority God has ordained. Perfection is a clarion call to God-empowered righteousness, to remember who we are in Christ Jesus, and to evaluate God’s expectations for those who claim to be born again in Him. The church can no longer afford to ignore the gospel that empowers it to be both relevant and powerful. It must purvey unsullied the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit and become the solution to the world’s ills that God intended and predestined it to be.Pastor Richard Kuehn clearly outlines the problem of man’s sinful nature, the carnal state of rebellion against God, and indifference to the well-being of others, which continue to be the source of all interpersonal and international maliciousness. Although man has tried many philosophies, psychologies, governments, religions, laws, and organizations, none has provided a lasting peace or a framework for harmonious multi-cultural living. Perfection provides a framework for fulfilling God’s righteousness in us and walking as Jesus walked. Discover God’s full plan for man’s reformation, conformation, and transformation and comprehend the depths and the beauty of His plan to bring His kingdom to pass on earth as it is in heaven.
